When Diversity Is Just a Buzzword, It’s Bigotry in Disguise.

"Anti-racism" is still a hip marketing strategy

There’s a kind of coach—and frankly, entire training programs—who treat equity like an accessory. A necklace they put on for their website photos, but never wear in real life.

They’ll put the words on their sales page. They’ll drop them into a podcast interview. But when you look at who they platform, who they hire, who they center, it’s business as usual. White-led. White-normed. White-comfortable.

That’s not liberation. That’s branding. That’s what happens when anti-racism, diversity, or inclusion becomes a marketing tool for businesses still built on the scaffolding of white supremacy.

At The Coaching Guild, we don’t accessorize equity. We organize around it. And when we say diversity, we mean all of it: race, culture, gender, sexuality, class, ability, and identity. We stand with and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. We center multiple voices, multiple lenses, multiple lived experiences. Because transformation that doesn’t include every kind of human isn’t transformation—it’s privilege, dressed up.
